Molly’s Prayer

Dear Lord,
Thank You for this opportunity to gather in your name and to dive into Exodus together. God, we ask that we follow You as You lead us out of "slavery" and into the Promised Land and a deepened relationship with You—just as You did in Exodus.

The miracles, the freedom, the provision that You provided for Your people did not stop in the Old Testament. Lord, You have continued to provide even when we turn away, just as Your people did in the stories we will read this semester.

Lord, bring us close to You. May we trust You in whatever this season holds and may we learn more of who You are. You are a God who parted the ocean into waves when it looked like there was no way out. Lord, You provided manna from the sky when there was no food, You provided water from a rock to show Your power, and ultimately You led Your people from slavery to a promised land.

May these stories raise a new faith within us, and a hope and love that overflows for You. God, we ask that we have the faith of Moses and trust You with what You have laid before us in this season. We are so grateful to be able to gather together again.
